Alice Templeton was a twin to Knight Claywell. They were the last children, (Number 8 and 9), born to Margaret Duncan Enlow Templeton and Joseph Crittenden Templeton.
Alice was a music major at Mills College in Oakland. After graduation in 1923, she accepted a teaching position in Indiana, PA. Just a few days after arriving in PA, she died suddenly when she suffered a brain aneurysm. She was the only girl in a family with eight brothers.
