Mr. William Aikens passed away at his farm residence on Tuesday morning. Although the deceased had been ailing for some time, his demise was unlooked for. He leaves to mourn the loss of a loving and devoted husband and father, a wife, four sons and a daughter. Mr. Aikens had lived in this neighbourhood for forty years and his kind and upright principles had won to him many warm friends who deeply mourn his loss. His remains were laid to rest in the Methodist Cemetery, Mitchell.
