Madelyn died Thursday, 19 September 1996, at her residence. A native of Elberton, Georgia, she had been a New Orleans resident "for more than 50 years." Her first husband, David Cohn, and her second husband, Jules J. Paglin, preceded her in death. Two sons, Hubert Karl Cohn (Houston, Texas) and Julius Meyer Cohn; a brother, Arnell Patz (Baltimore, Maryland); a sister, Gladys Weinberg (Rockville, Maryland); six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren survived her.
