Murph H. Eager, 80, died Wednesday, May 3, 2006, in Santa Fe.
Mr. Eager served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He had worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad, had been a farmer and rancher and was retired from the New Mexico State Highway Department.
Mr. Eager was preceded in death by his parents, Sen. Henry and Mary Jane Eager, who resided in Tucumcari.
Survivors include his wife, Floine Eager of Santa Fe; two daughters, Cyndi (husband David) Kornowski and Brenda (Ron) Yamane; two grandchildren, Hannah and Bryan Yamane and a family friend, Elizabeth Morris.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wildlife Center, P.O. Box 246, Espanola NM 87532 or to the Animal Humane Society.
Arrangements are by Dunn Funeral Home of Tucumcari.
