They married on July 13, 1947, and established their family home in Farmington in 1956. It was there that they raised a family of nine children and Lorene spent her days caring for her children. She enjoyed gardening, and especially loved tending to her flower gardens. She also enjoyed embroidering and her close relationship with her large family.
Lorene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Bud and Lorene were sealed for time and all eternity on March 3, 1967, in the Salt Lake Temple.
Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Bud H. Cribbs; great-grandson, Vance Palmer; sister, Deon Merkley; brother, Neldon Reynolds; and her parents, Minnie Bigelow and Jack Fausett.
She is survived by her loving children, Jack and Elleny Cribbs, Ray Cribbs, Irene and Charles Palmer, Clayton and Shonnie Cribbs, Eileen and Mike Holder, Aaron Cribbs, Colleen and Al Nolan, Kristene and Ed Fuller, and Kaylene Cribbs. She also leaves 26 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren, with three more on the way; and two sisters, Arloa Woodard and Valina Merkley.
Visitation for Lorene will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, May 8, at Brewer, Lee & Larkin Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 9, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 400 W. Apache St. in Farmington. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery.
