"A. L. 'Slim' Hogan, 72, of Arcadia, died at Doctors Hospital in Shreveport. He was a native of Jackson Parish but had lived in El Dorado for 22 years, where he worked as a production foreman and diesel engineer for Murphy Oil Co. In 1979, he retired and made his home in Arcadia. He was a Mason and member of the Arcadia Masonic Lodge and the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter No. 19, and the Arcadia Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, one brother, two grandchildren, one niece and one nephew."
