"All her life, Irene shared her beautiful smile with everyone she met."

Mary "Irene" Adams, 85, of Vancouver, Washington, passed quietly in her sleep on March 30, 2015. She was born in Geddes, South Dakota in 1929.

After she moved to Vancouver in 1986, she worked as the Regional Manager for three Dairy Queen restaurants. Upon retiring, she dedicated her life to her family and her church, St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Vancouver, Washington. Irene volunteered for St. Catherine's Circle and St. Vincent de Paul Society.

Irene loved to sew and could get a "sow's ear and turn it into a silk purse" with ease. She was famous among her circle for the legendary baking she shared with all.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Adams, her daughter, Marjorie Faith, and six siblings.

The funeral was on Friday, May 1, 2015 at St. Joseph's Church, 400 S. Andresen Rd., Vancouver, WA. Her cremains were interred in Pasco, Washington.

Donations may be made in her memory to St. Vincent de Paul Society, 2456 NE Stapleton Rd., Vancouver, WA.
