Son of Howard and Mary (Robson) Adomeit. He was a veteran and served his country in the United States Army. On June 30, 1956 he married Barbara (Krome) Adomeit. Robert worked as an industrial designer for Ford Motor Company for 30+ years and retired out of the design center in Dearborn. Lived in Hillman for 20 years, formerly of Westland.

Survived by his wife; 2 sons and 7 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by his parents and a son, Thomas.Mr. Robert George Adomeit, 80 of Hillman, Michigan passed away on January 4, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 26, 1934 to the late, Howard and Mary (Robson) Adomeit. He was a proud veteran and served his country in the United States Army. On June 30, 1956 he married wife, Barbara (Krome) Adomeit and together they celebrated 58 years of marriage before his passing. Robert worked as an industrial designer for Ford Motor Company for 30+ years and retired out of the design center in Dearborn. He has lived in Hillman for 20 years, formerly of Westland. Robert remained active in various activities and along with his wife, both were professional artists and members of the North Eastern Michigan Artist Guild of Alpena; and Besser Museum where Robert was a past board member. He was also active with Brush Creek Mill in Hillman and helped with drawings for architect. When he wasn't involved in the arts, he enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing. Above everything, he enjoyed the time spent with family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Adomeit of Hillman; sons, seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Mary Adomeit; and son, Thomas.

As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a memorial held in celebration of his life on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Brush Creek Mill; Hillman, Michig
