Andrew L. Conner, who sustained a fractured leg several weeks ago, died suddenly last Wednesday at his home on Upper Elm, near Thomas street. Mr. Conner had been confined to his home since his accident. Mr. Conner was about 45 years old and leaves a wife and several children. He had been janitor of the Shelby street school building since it was erected. For several years Mr. Conner had been suffering from a peculiar accident. The bones in his leg have been turning into a chalky substance and were very brittle. One leg had been broken four times, the last time a few weeks ago when a sudden wrench caused the bones to snap. - Public Press 13 May 1896
