Albert Marion Chapman is the son of John Lumpkin Chapman and Nancy Lenora "Nora" O'Dell-Chapman of Ider, Alabama Dekalb County on Sand Mountain. His great grandparents are; Enoch Chapman and Mary Ann Young-Chapman of Dekalb County, Alabama. His grandparents are; Joseph M. Chapman and Dorcus Ann O'Dell-Chapman of Dekalb County. His parents were married on 4 June 1899 Trenton, Georgia Dade County. They had nine children together. Albert married wife #1.... Sarah Pauline "Polly" Young ( abt. 1926) Polly is the daughter of Albert Tolbert Young (1877-1948) and Rebecca L. O'Dell-Young (1871-1925) both of Ider, Alabama Dekalb County. They had four children together that I know of. Nova Lee (or) Oralee Chapman was born on 7 January 1928 Flat Rock, Alabama Jackson County..she died on 29 May 1994; Wallace Imen Chapman born 7 December 1929 Flat Rock, Ala. died 11 July 1997 Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia Catoosa County; Wanda L. Chapman was born 1936 Flat Rock, Ala. death unknown; Nolan Robert Chapman was born on 17 May 1938 Flat Rock Alabama Jackson County and died in 2015 California. Polly Young-Chapman also died in California. Albert M. Chapman married wife #2.... Imogene Bailey of Dekalb County, Alabama. They made their home in Ringgold and Chickamauga, Georgia where they raised six children that I know of. Ila Mae Chapman-York, Edna Chapman, Evelyn Chapman-Hammeck of Ringgold, Georgia, Levon Chapman of Rossville, Georgia, James Chapman of Chickamauga, Georgia and Charles E. Chapman , born on 10 October 1955 and died on 2 Feb. 1979. Albert has lived in Deer Head Cove, Alabama Dekalb County.... Flat Rock, Alabama Jackson County, Fabius, Alabama Jackson County, Ringgold, Georgia,and Chickamauga, Georgia Catoosa County. He married his third wife Hazel H. and lived in Chickamauga. They did not have any children together. Albert Marion Chapman and his family are loved and missed by their family and friends. They will be remembered. Nolan Robert Chapman is the son of Albert and Polly. He is Charles E. Chapman half-brother. Wanda Lucille Chapman married Mr. Luther Martin Hartline (memorial # 192-184-41).
