Clarissa Rich was the daughter of Rufus Rich 1805 and Saloma Gillett.

Clarissa's parents were in Middlefield, Otsego County, New York in 1830. Land records indicate they probably moved to Albion, Oswego County, New York by 1834.

A land transaction, 1850, Sandy Creek, Oswego, New York, shows Clarissa married William F Kenyon before 1850, probably in Oswego County.

Clarissa's father Rufus' probate notice 1856 mentions a daughter Clarissa Kenyon, wife of William Kenyon, in Wisconsin. Clarissa's parents were married in 1828. If Clarissa were married in 1856, she must have been born before 1841. Clarissa's first child was born in 1850 in Wisconsin. These indicate Clarissa was an older child in her family.

Clarissa's husband William Kenyon is in the 1860 census with their daughters Clarissa and Ella, in Neshonoc, La Crosse, Wisconsin. Because Clarissa is not with him there, she may have died before that.

Sources: Land transaction in Sandy Creek, Oswego, NY 1850, probate notice for Rufus in 1856, and the death certificate of daughter Ella shows her mother as Clarissa Rich.
