Basil Merrit Wykle, 75, of Fairlea passed away on Monday, September 19, 2005, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center, Fairlea.
Born August 7, 1930 at Ronceverte, he was the son of the late Merrit and Audrey Baker Wykle.
He worked at the sawmill and was a member of the Fairlea New Covenant Sanctuary.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his baby sister, Shirley Wykle.
Survivors include his of 56 years, Virgie Marie Wykle.
one son Basil Leon Wykle (Dreama)of Peterstown; three daughters, Althea Holliday and her husband, David, of Fairlea, Bessie Workman and her husband James, of Lewisburg, Marietta Holliday and her husband, Roger, of Ronceverte, six grandsons; six granddaughters; 21 great-grandchildren, two brothers Gerald Wykle and his wife Mattie, of Fairlea, Clyde Wykle and his wife, Beulah, of Ronceverte and three special nieces, Patty Erskine, Linda Trigg, and Anges Allan.
Services will be held Thursday at 2pm at Morgan Funeral Home, in Lewisburg with the Rev. Calvin Weikle and the Rev,Aaron Trigg officiating.
Burial will follow at Honaker Cemetery on Coffman Hill in Ronceverte. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers
