Curly was preceded in death by his two wives, Eunice Fitzgerald Garner and Michele Russell Garner, several siblings, and two step-daughters, Betty Jenkins and Wanda Geisert. He is survived by a sister, Fannie Lou Anderson, a niece, Virginia Roach, seven step-grandchildren-Keith R. Rutledge, Randall S. Rutledge, Ted "Teddy" Geisert, Jr., SuzAnn Steinle, Linda Geisert, Patricia Scott, and Kathryn Murphy, a step-son-in-law, Ted Geisert, Sr., and many other relatives and good friends too numerous to list.

Of his many achievements, Curly was most proud of his service to his country in World War II and the Korean War, his skill as a mason, and his dedication to helping others, both in and out of Alcoholics Anonymous, and his church family at First Christian Church of Palestine. Curly will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
