Quirin J. Weber, age 86, of 19609 Bel Mar Avenue, Maribel, died Wednesday afternoon, December 7, 1994, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, December 10, 1994, at 10:15 a.m. at the Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, and 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. Rev. Ronald Colombo will celebrate the Mass of Resurrection with Sr. Marlene Greatens, Homilist. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mr. Weber was born September 30, 1908, at Kellnersville, son of the late George and Mary Fajferdlik Weber. He was a graduate of St. Joseph School in Kellnersville. On June 18, 1935, he was married to Lucille Wanish at St. Joseph Church, Kellnersville. Mr. Weber was self-employed as a general contractor in the Manitowoc and Green Bay areas for more than 30 years. His love for hunting and fishing were equaled by his talent and success in wood carving and making spinning wheels. Quirin was one of the original founding members of the Maribel Sportsmen Club in 1961, a charter member of the Maribel Lions Club, Maribel Fire Department, a life long member of St. Joseph Church, its Holy Name Society and a member of the Wisconsin Czech Club. He was active in many community activities for over 50 years.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille, Maribel; four daughters and sons-in-law, Joyce and Don Laedtke, Appleton, Barbara and Bob Joswick, DePere, Polly and Steve Peplinski, Pulaski, Alice and Tony Faulkner, England; 12 grandchildren, Todd, Beth and Pam Laedtke, Matthew, Amy and Emily Joswick, Bill and Katie Peplinski, Henry, Lucy, Marie and Christina Faulkner; two sisters-in-law, Rose Weber, Manitowoc, Gladys Weber, Manitowoc, Gladys Weber, Manitowoc; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.
Friends may call at Saur Funeral Home, Friday, from 4-8 p.m. Sr. Marlene will build a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. and St. Joseph Holy Name Society will pray the rosary at 7:30 p.m.
A special thank you to all who cared for him in the Critical Care Unit of Holy Family Memorial Medical Center in Manitowoc.
