Born in Manhattan, NY he had resided in Piscataway before moving to Edison in 1947. He served in the Army Air Corps before attending Rutgers University, and graduated with an Agriculture Degree. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Cathedral in Metuchen. He worked for Merck Co. and Rutgers Chevrolet before becoming the owner of Rutgers Gun & Boat Center in Highland Park, opening its doors in 1960. He was a lifetime endowment member of the NRA and the American Society of Arms Collectors and Gun Clubs. He attended trade Gun shows and was an avid reader. He was the largest distributor of Gun books and publisher of Gun Room Press and sold books all over the world. He also belonged to the NJ Civil Defense Corps and Police Reserve.
He is predeceased by his parents, Mustafa and Uganda Aziz; and a brother, Ismail.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Rose; two children, Mark Aziz and Gail Firkser, both of Edison; two grandchildren, Michael and Robert Firkser; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will take place at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home, 568 Middlesex Ave (Rt.27), Metuchen, NJ. Cremation will be private.
