10/12/1928 Pioneer Fiddler of Mustang Dies (Friday)
John Calvin Cole, 74 years old, known widely as "Fiddler" Cole, died Thursday afternoon in Oklahoma City. He came here from Mississippi in 1889, settling on a homestead two miles north of Mustang, where he had lived since.
Survivors are five daughters, Mrs. C.B. Seward, Mrs. H.B. Pierce and Mrs. Lena Mack of Oklahoma City; Mrs. Cora Bradley of Tulsa, and Mrs. Sadie Finch of San Francisco, Calif.; three sons, F.G. of San Diego, Calif., Charles of Paso Robles, Calif., and C.C. Cole of Trinidad, Colo., and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Avary of Summitt, Miss. The body is at Street & Draper's.

Services for John Calvin Cole will be held in Mustang, Okla., Sunday afternoon 2:30 o'clock, announced Street & Draper. Interment will be made in the Mustang cemetery.
10/15/1928 Fiddler Cole Is Buried At Mustang (Monday)
John Calvin Cole, known as "Fiddler Cole," was buried Sunday afternoon in Mustang cemetery. Bearers were Dan Davis, T.W. Davis, W.C. Morgan, W.H. Mitchell, B. Wolfe and Frank Swakosky, all of the Mustang community.
Funeral services were held for the pioneer in Mustang Baptist church, which was filled. Many persons stood outside. Rev. P.T. Treadwell of Kentucky avenue Baptist church officiated. (THE OKLAHOMAN)
(Contributed by: 47611238) John Calvin Cole's 1st wife Sarah Catherine "Sallie" Cole is buried by him in grave #1421414. His second wife is also buried near him. Two of his sons, John who died at age 24 in a gravel pit cave-in in Texas and newborn infant are also near them.
