Wilford O. Young, age 77, of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away Saturday January 31, 2015, in the Peabody Retirement Center in North Manchester, IN. Born June 27, 1937 in Noble County, IN, a son of Wilford J. and Mable (Hontz) Young.

He lived in Noble County, IN, before moving to Whitley, County in 1991. He graduated from Wolf Lake High School with the class of 1955. He was married on April 3,1958 to Sharon K. (Decker). He was a member of Operating Engineers-Local #103 for over 45 Years, retiring in 1999 from E&B Paving. He attended the Warsaw Community Church, and was a member of Merriam Christian Chapel Church.

Surviving include his daughter, Julie (Tim) Stout of Warsaw, IN; Sons, Michal L. (Dana) Young, of Fayetteville, Ark. and Stuart L. (Courtney) Young of Charlotte, N. C.; brother, Max E. (Carol) Young of Albion, IN.; brother-in-law, Tom Stump, of Avilla, IN.; sister-in-law, Pat Decker of Columbia City, ; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter.

He was Preceded in death by his, parents; wife, Sharon Young in 2008; and sister, Mary Anna Stump.

Burial took place in the Lakeview Cemetery in Kendallville, IN.
