Richard was a beloved husband and he was married to his wife Susan (Huggins) for over 40 years. Together they raised three children, Matthew (Florence), Julie (Craig), and Richard (Lindsay). He leaves behind four brothers, David, Dennis, John, and Robb and two sisters, Lila, and Rose. His brother Mark, parents Frances and Lyle precedes him in death. He dearly loved his mother-in-law Pauletta, sister-in-laws, Amanda, Judy, and Margie, brother-in-laws, Freddie, and Willard. He took great joy in being a grandfather. His grandchildren Brittnei, Brandie, Richard, Matthew Jr., William, Ty, Christopher, Joseph, Cameron, Kiera, Dillon, and Hailey will miss spending their special time with him. He also loved being a great-grandfather to Averi and Carter.

He was a wonderful example of a loving family man for his many nieces and nephews, a favorite uncle to many and was considered a "Grandfather", "Uncle", "father figure" to many others. He was considered a great friend by many more. He was a great person who would help anyone who needed it.

He enjoy riding his Harley any chance he could and anything to do with the outdoors especially if it included his family.

Visitation will be from 10am to 1pm with services beginning at 1PM Saturday, July 5, 2014 at Virgil T. Golden Funeral Service.
