Death of F.H. Griffin.

Another Pioneer Passed Away at an Early Hour This Morning.

Frank H. Griffin, a pioneer and highly respected citizen of this city, living at 1015 West Chestnut street, died this morning at 2 o'clock. He is survived by his wife and two daughters, two brothers and two sisters, all of whom are residents of this county except one of the sisters.

He came to this county in 1869 with his mother and brothers and sisters, his father having died a few years before. The family bought a claim in Liberty township where they resided for many years. Mr. Griffin after his marriage lived on a farm southwest of the city for a number of years, and when he retired he located in this city. He was a little over 63 years of age.

He was a substantial citizen, a kind man and neighbor and was held in high regard by all who knew him.

The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the United Brethren church, of which he had been a consistant member for more than thirty years.
