Helen J. Adams passed away Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly. She was 97.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a resident of the Columbus area most of her life. She had retired from the Columbus Post Office after 31 years, and was the oldest member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Hainesport.

Preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Emily Adams; and her brother, Walter E. Adams, Helen is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Irvin and Marilyn Adams of Columbus; her nieces, Marybeth Oliver and her husband, Gerald, of Richmond, Va., and Cynthia Tootell and her husband, Edward D., of Columbus; her great-nieces and nephews, Matthew and Julianne Tootell, Lauren and Ryan Oliver; and other nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 910 Marne Highway, Hainesport, N.J., where friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will follow in Columbus Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Marlton, or St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
