Phyllis Jackson Hall, age 98 & 1/2, a lifelong resident of Norwalk, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at home. Born April 12, 1910, Mrs. Hall was the youngest daughter of Oliver Brady Jackson and Charlotte Betts Jackson. Mrs. Hall was a member of one of Norwalk's oldest families. She was a graduate of Hillside School in Norwalk and Mt. Holyoke College Class of 1931. She married Howard Fales Hall October 8, 1932. Mrs. Hall was an active member of the First Congregational Church on the Green from her early childhood as well as Girl Scouts, AAUW, and other volunteer organizations. She leaves behind two children, Caroline S. Hui and her husband David; Jonathan Hall and his wife Ruth; two grandsons, Karsten and his wife Heather; Matthew Hall and his wife Nina; granddaughter, Kim C. Hui; three great-grandsons; four great-granddaughters; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a memorial service planned for the spring.
