Reba Ellen Wooden, 61, of Marshall, died Sunday, May 15, 2005, at Fitzgibbon Hospital in Marshall. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2005, at Marshall United Pentecostal Church. Rev. William Swaringam will officiate. Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Sunset Gardens Cemetery in Marshall. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Marshall. Born Jan. 21, 1944, in Malden, she was the daughter of the late James Franklin Wineman and Ruthey Ruby Lamunion Wineman. She was a 1964 graduate of Dexter High School in Dexter. She had lived in Marshall since 1997, moving from Bakersfield, California. She had been a nurse and was a homemaker. She was a member of Marshall United Pentecostal Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years and was a member of the M&M Ladies Auxiliary.
Survivors include one daughter, Angela Wooden of Marshall; one stepdaughter, Barbara Conway of the state of California; two stepsons, Lowern Winford Wooden Jr. of Senora, California; and Stanley Jesse Eugene Wooden of Greely Hill, California; four sisters, Virgie Wright of Dexter; Vivian Wright of Dexter; twin sister Freda Helen Wineman of San Francisco, California; and Juanita Loggins of Marshall; eleven stepgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ray Wineman; one sister, Eula Mae Aldridge; and two sisters and one brother in infancy.
