Arnold R. Watson, 84, of Deep Gap, died Tuesday, June 24, 1997, at Blowing Rock Hospital Extended Care.
He was born September 23, 1912 in Watauga County to the late General D. and Annie Greene Watson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Miller Watson and three brothers, G. D. Watson Jr, Otis and Russau Watson.
Survivors include two daughters; one son; three brothers; three sisters; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-granchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral is 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Mount Paran Baptist Church in Deep Gap woth Rev. Gary Watson officiating. Burial will follow in the Watson Family Cemetery.
