Charlie was born May 8, 1939, in Wellington, TX to Wade and Roxie Hedgecock.
Charlie was married to his lifelong sweetheart Patsy on December 15, 1957. Shortly thereafter, he served in United States Navy for 4 years. He was nominated outstanding recruit. He moved his family back to San Jon, NM after his service was up, so he could return to farming. He loved it, it was in his blood. He was a farmer and cowboy all his life. He was lovably stubborn. He earned the name John Wayne from his family. And it always made him laugh. He was a very loving man who always put his family first.
As his daughter, I am so very grateful God blessed me with him as my Dad. We take comfort in that he is now with my dear Mom and my brother Russell. Heaven has gained another angel.
