Laura Boothe Woodruff, age 62, passed away peacefully the morning of January 19, 2015, as she slept. She was born September 9, 1952 to Lewis and Aleta Woodruff, and was a Portland native. Laura graduated from James Madison High School in 1970, and continued her studies in music at Eastern Oregon College of Education. Upon returning to Portland, for many years Laura performed in and directed orchestras for Portland's live theaters, as well as taught music privately. In later years she started her own business, marketing her handcrafted kitchenwares, and became a freelance travel agent.

Laura is survived by her mother, Aleta Woodruff, brother Larry Woodruff (Vicki); nephews Gabriel Woodruff (Shelly) and Zachariah Woodruff (Signey); and little Anna Belle, all of Portland. Laura's dog, "Taco" has found a new loving home with Larry's stepdaughter Chantell.

The family will hold a private service with a gathering of friends to celebrate her life. It will be announced on Facebook for sometime in February.
