She earned her BA in nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ms. Stepanian worked as the Director of Nursing at the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks for 30 years before her retirement in 2010.
The memorial service was at 2 PM Thursday, July 10, 2014 in Summersett Memorial Chapel.
Burial followed at Rowan Memorial Park.
