Ottumwa – Mary "June" Strayer-Graves, 58, of 514 W. Fourth St., died at 4:04 p.m. October 19, 1995, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.
She was born June 2, 1937, in Washburn, Illinois to John Peter and Mary Flora Chisholm Vanda.
A resident of Ottumwa since 1963, she had been a cook in various restaurants in Ottumwa and had been a childcare provider. She was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by six sons, Miley Jr. of Oskaloosa, John of Centerville, LaVerne of La Crosse, Wisconsin and Glen, Donald & Raymond of Ottumwa: two daughters, Barbara Strayer of Ottumwa and Carol Strayer of Salt Lake City, Utah; and 28 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
The body has been cremated.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa.

My mom loved to dress up at Halloween & go trick or treating no matter how old she or us kids got. Mom was 5'5", heavy set & beautiful blue-grey eyes. I miss you mom.
