Goldie (Kimmel) Parks, 78, of Eaton, died Monday, July 11, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Dayton after an extended illness.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Preble County. She was a member of the United Church of Christ in West Manchester and a member of the Women's Fellowship of the church, a member of the Eldorado Garden Club and a Preble County Republican chairwoman for 22 years.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Garland H. Parks; one daughter, Janet Lucas of Clayton; two sons, Keith Parks of Eaton and Darrell Parks of Columbus; 12 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A brother, Willard Kimmel, died in 1979.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 14, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, followed by burial in Monroe Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the United Church of Christ of West Manchester or the Eaton Emergency Squad.
