OBITUARY:
MT. AYR -- Elbert C. Wolf, 72, died at his home here at 3 p.m. Saturday. Although he had been ill for a year, his death was unexpected.
Born at Mt. Ayr, he had spent most of his life in Newton county. He was a Northern Indiana Public Service company employee for over 20 years but had been retired for a number of years.

Elbert C. Wolf, son of John and Cynthia (Lane) Wolf was born in Mt. Ayr, Indiana June the 21st, 1885 and died at his home in Mt. Ayr, Indiana, January the 11th, 1958 at the age of 72 years, 6 months and 20 days.
Mr. Wolf was never married. For many years he devoted himself to his parents and during the illness of his mother he cared for her as she fought cancer.
Mr. Wolf had been in declining health for a year. At last he was relieved from his earthly burdens and God called him to the Celestial world.
He leaves to miss his going away nieces and nephews, Mrs. Georgia Ellis, Mrs. Ray Newton, Ralph Colvin, and Ernest Colvin, all of Lafayette, Indiana, Mrs. Stiles Jeffries of Chalmers, Ind., Mrs. Harriett Browne of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and many dear ones and friends.
Funeral services were conduted by Rev. H.L. Adams of the Trinity Methodist Church, Rensselaer, Indiana, January the 14th 1958 at 1:30 p.m. from the Jackson Funeral Chapel. Burial at Morocco, Indiana.
