Abbie Louise (Hathcock) Campbell

Abbie Louise (Hathcock) Campbell, of Carson City, passed peacefully and surrounded in love on January 13, 2015 at the age of 92. She was born in Wenatchee, WA on October 2, 1922 to Thomas "Red" and Pearl Hathcock and was raised in Texas. Abbie moved to Santa Monica, CA as a young woman where she worked for the Harrah family then met her perfect match, William Dixon Campbell. William (Bill) and Abbie Campbell eventually settled in Carson City, NV where they worked at Harrah's/ Harvey's Tahoe for many years. Bill and Abbie retired to Hesperia, CA where they golfed and enjoyed life to the fullest with friends at the Hesperia Golf and Country Club where they were members for 30 years. Abbie was preceded in death by her husband William Dixon Campbell, her son Jerry Robertson (Kris), her brothers Clifton and Jay and her sister Dana. Abbie is survived by her sister Ollie, her son William (Bill) Campbell Jr., five grandchildren and seven beloved great-grandchildren. Abbie will be remembered for her infectious laugh, unwavering love for family and for innumerable friendships over her lifetime. The burial service will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, CA on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 AM. Kern Hesperia Mortuary is handling the arrangements; (760) 244-9313.
