MRS. SCHMATZ DEATH SUNDAY
Funeral services are to be held on Tuesday.
After an illness dating back to last September, Mrs. Joseph Schmatz, 57, died early Sunday morning at the family home, 1124 South Sixth street.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. from the home and at 9:00 a.m. from the St. Boniface Catholic church, in charge of Father Peil. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.

The deceased was born at Whitelaw in 1876, her maiden name being Anna Brey. She was married in 1900 to Joseph Schmatz and they came to thi city to reside and except for a brief period always made this city their home.

Besides the husband, two daughters, Stella and Hilarie, both at home, one brother, George Brey of Platteville, Wis., and three sisters, Mrs. Joseph Pritzl, Brillion, Mrs. Adolph Koerner, Wrightstown, and Sister M. Georgiana, Oneida, Wis., survive.

Mrs. Schmatz was a member of the St. Ann’s society of the St. Boniface church.

The remains may be viewed at the home up to the hour of the funeral.
