Daughter of Charles Marson and Sarah Ann Peto. She married Reginald Colley on 19 August, 1913 in Waltham, Massachusetts in a double wedding ceremony along with her sister Lillian and her husband Herbert C. Maker. Reginald was a professor of Botany at Dartmouth College and Edith was a Governess, employed to teach children in a private household. After their wedding, the couple moved to Hanover, New Hampshire. She and Reginald moved to Madison, Wisconsin where she died of Pneumonia. She was survived by her husband and two small children.
