Memorial services were held last Thursday in the First Baptist Church United Church of Christ Bloomington.
She received her bachelor's and master's degrees from IU in 1918 and 1923 respectively. She joined the faculty at IU in 1923 and retired in 1961.
Prof. Martin was a member of Phi Beta Kappa scholastic honorary and held a scholarship and a fellowship at Bryn Mawr College in 1927-28 and 1928-29.
Survivors include nephews George Martin Barba and Dr. William M. Barba.
Preceding Miss Martin in death were her parents Dr. George F. Martin and Mrs. Martin who resided in Corydon and her sister Mrs. Eleanor Martin Barba who had been a resident of Emmaus, Pa.
The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the First Baptist Church United Church of Christ Bloomington.
