Mr. Lewis M. Bleichwehl, 80, of 410 East Reed Avenue, Manitowoc, died Tuesday, October 18, 1988, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Glenn H. Unke will officiate.
Mr. Bleichwehl was born August 1, 1908, in the Town of Newtonburg, son of the late Ernst and Ida Nagel Bleichwehl.
Survivors include his wife, Alma Schwantz Bleichwehl of Manitowoc; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Ralph and Edie Bleichwehl of Oshkosh, Michael and Lilia Bleichwehl of Panama, Central America, David Bleichwehl of Milwaukee, and Tim and Jodi Bleichwehl of Fredonia, Wisconsin; a daughter, Jennifer Bleichwehl of Milwaukee; a sister, Edna Behnke of Brillion; 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Bleichwehl.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 p.m to 8 p.m. Thursday and at the church on Friday from 10 a.m. to the time of services. Memorials may be made to Manitowoc Lutheran High School.
