Roland Benson, 85, of Tulsa, Oklahoma died Saturday, November 19, 2005, in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was born September 1, 1920, in Brooken. He was a retired lieutenant colonel in the Air Force who served in World War II and the Korean War, a cattle rancher and a Protestant. He graduated from Quinton High School and received an associates degree from Connors State college in Warner, Oklahoma.

Funeral was held at 1 p.m. Friday at Agent Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Akins Cemetery northeast of Sallisaw.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter; five sons; three sisters; a brother; 14 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were his grandsons and great-grandsons.
