He was the beloved husband of Joan M. Nickerson Graichen.
He was employed as a lineman and installer for New England Telephone Co. for 22 years before retiring.
HE was a U.S. MARINE CORPS VETERAN of the VIETNAM WAR and received the PURPLE HEART.
He was also preceded in death by a son, Mark E. Nickerson; and a sister, Donna Hammond.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Jessie Lee Graichen; his parents, John and Gail Bridge Graichen and Robert J. Houle; his brothers, John, Brian, William, Billy and Steven Graichen; his sisters, Sandra Ashe, Jacqueline, Jean and Shayla Graichen; granddaughter, Yasmine Nickerson.
His committal service with MILITARY HONORS will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. in the Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery Columbarium, 301, South County Trail, Exeter, RI.
