He was born on October 4, 1934 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Roger Clifford and Jessie Vera Oleda (Hood) Hinton.
Clifford served his country in the U. S. Army from 1956 to 1958. Clifford was married to Barbara Ann Cearley, she preceded him in death in December of 2011.
He worked as a drywall finisher for many years, later he worked in maintenance for the Tulsa Tech Center and retired from there. He had moved to Sand Springs from Grove about a year ago. Clifford enjoyed going to the casinos, living the life around the lake with his wife, meeting people, camping and being with his family.
Those preceding him in death include, his parents, wife Barbara, sisters, Oleta Shelton and Martha Hinton and a brother, Billy Joe Hinton.
The family includes: his children, Linda Passmore of Seattle, Washington, Don Hinton of Bradenton, Florida, Chuck Hinton and wife Cynthia of Sand Springs, Dana Brown and husband Eddie of Locust Grove; siblings, Vernon Hinton of Stroud, Charlene Lynch of Foyil, Ruth Higgins of Grove, Jacki Chavis of Sperry, Imadale Bales of Texas; eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at 10:00 AM at the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Vinita, with Pastor Geoff Buffalo officiating. Interment will follow at the Big Cabin Cemetery in Big Cabin, Oklahoma.
