NOTE: Anne did not have a middle name Mary or Maria. Middle names did not exist in those days.

Anne Dyer was a daughter of Henry and Mary Dyer of Boston, MA, and Lebanon, CT. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Dyer and Anne Hutchinson.

She married Noah PHELPS, Sr., son of Timothy PHELPS and Martha CROW, on Oct. 1, 1719 in Hebron, Tolland Co., CT where all (most of) their nine children were born.

Her father's mother (Ann Hutchinson) was the granddaughter of Ann Hutchinson of colonial fame.

She was the great granddaughter of William & Mary Dyer. William was a founding settler of Portsmouth and Newport, RI and RI's 1st Attorney General. Mary Dyer was a Quaker martyr.
