Alma Ray Dossett Huffman, 80, of Elizabethtown died Friday, February 13, 2015 at her home.
She was born December 12, 1934 in Mercer County. Alma was the oldest child of 12 of the late James Lambert and Virgie McClain Dossett of Harrodsburg, KY. She married Archie Merriel Huffman on July 4, 1957.
Alma worked at Elizabethtown Sewing Factory for many years and retired from U. S. Civil Service after 12 years.
She is survived by her daughter, Diane (David) Drobny of Elizabethtown; two granddaughters, Stephanie Drobny of Elizabethtown and Karen (James) Fee of Nicholasville; a grandson, David Clifton Drobny, Jr. of Glendale; a special niece, Florence Huffman of Lexington; three sisters, Roxie Earlene Pike of Frankfort, Martha (J. B.) Lamb of Stanford and Mary Frances Owens of Danville; four brothers, James Cecil (Joyce) Dossett of FL, Carl (Brenda) Dossett of Bardstown, J. T. (Carolyn) Dossett of Warsaw, and Harold Dossett of Paulden, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her husband who passed away December 28, 1976, her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Local Visitation will be from 1:30 pm to 4 pm Sunday at Brown Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. The funeral will be 2 pm Monday at Alexander Royalty Funeral Home in Harrodsburg with Bro. Roger McCurry officiating.
Burial will follow in Cornishville Church Cemetery in Mercer County.
