Smith Ervay, aged 62 years, died at his home on the Fairview Hill Road, Town of Erwin, Painted Post, yesterday afternoon, November 5, 1926, at 4:45 o'clock. Death followed an illness of five months of complication of diseases.
Mr. Ervay was born in this state April 27, 1864. For the past 14 years he had been a resident of the Town of Erwin, where he engaged in farming.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Florence Heaton Ervay; five children, Mrs. Florence Cohn and Smith Ervay, both of Olean, and three small sons, Jay, Henry, and Leland, at home; one brother, Henry Ervay, of Corning; and three sisters, Mrs. Timothy Harvey, of Odessa, Mrs. Nelson States and Mrs. Franklin Andrews, of Bath.
The funeral will be held from the late home in the Town of Erwin, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment will be in Fairview.
