Matt Morgan, 45, died of a broken heart sometime around midnight, Valentine's night on February 15, 2015. Matt was born on June 15, 1969 to Kent Edward Morgan and Esther Rae Young. Matt was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with a personal knowledge of the Love that his Heavenly Father and the Savior have for him.

Matt grew up in Kaysville, Mobridge, South Dakota and at the family home in Springville. He attended Springville High School where he played the trumpet in the high school band. Matthew was an accomplished softball player. He played with his family and many teams throughout the years making many lasting friendships with numerous teammates. He passed on his talents to his children and coached many of their teams.

Matt’s secret dream was to be a country singer – but his favorite stage was really singing his kids to sleep at night. Matt was an avid golfer and cinnamon tooth pick holder. He loved the New York Yankees, George Strait and most of all his family. He always had a close bond and friendships with his brothers. Matthew was the owner and operator of Ramah Greetings, an LDS Greeting Card company.

Matt married the only love of his life, Michelle Carter on October 14, 1994. They were sealed in the Mount Timpanogos Temple on October 14, 1998. Matt was divorced by Michelle in 2014.

Matthew is survived by his Children; Essa (Aaron) Cole, Ryan Eckstrom, Nastassja, Mikayla, Briella, Bronco and Mustang Morgan, Grandson; Jordan Cole, Parents; Kent (Sue) Morgan, Esther Rae (Don) Bybee. Brothers; Mark (Sujitra) Morgan, Mike (Susan) Morgan, Scott Morgan, Marty (Lydia) Morgan, Max (Becky) Morgan, Monty (Natalie) Billie, Tony (Joan) Sippert, "Sister"; Nicole Gustad, Ex-wife; Michelle Morgan.

Matt is also survived by numerous Nephews, Nieces and Cousins that he teased and was so very close too.

Matthew was preceded in death by his Grandparents; Maeser & Merrell Young, Ed & Edna Morgan, his Uncle Orvil Clark, Uncle Vern Young, brother, Emerson Soue, niece, Mariah Morgan and Nephew, Brad Ford, Step-father Clair Barney.

A viewing will be held on Friday February 20, 2015 from 6 – 8 p.m. at Wheeler Mortuary 211 E. 200 S., Springville or one hour prior to service on Saturday at the Chapel. Funeral Services will be held February 21, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Kolob LDS 8th Ward Chapel, 400 E. 800 S., Springville.

Interment to be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Springville. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to assist with funeral expenses. An account has been set up in Matthew’s name at UCCU in Springville.
