Passed away at home of daughter, Mrs. J. R. Clem on Church Street in South Greenwood following an illness of three weeks. Being born in Lincoln County, Georgia and had made his home in Parksville, McCormick County, South Carolina before moving to Greenwood around 17 years ago. He was the last sibling of his immediate family. His wife was the late Lucy Alice Quarles and was survived by seven children, J. L. Adams from High Shoals, North Carolina, Paul S. Adams from Elberton, Georgia, W. B. Adams from Parksville, McCormick, South Carolina, Belton Adams from Greenwood, Mrs. H. E. Chandler from Greenville, Mrs. R. A. Buchanan and Mrs. J. R. Clem both from Greenwood; 27 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Services were held at Matthews Methodist Church on Thursday at 3 P. M. with interment in the Baptist Cemetery in Parksville.
