Harriet Eliza Fagg was the second wife of Van Swearingen Brandon Sr. married on Apr 25, 1867 in Switzerland County, Indiana.
During the 1892 Diphtheria epidemic the hole family was quarantined. When Harriet's children died she had to bath their bodies, dress them and pass them out a window to be taken to the cemetery and buried. She lost a son and then a week later lost 3 daughters the same day.
