Richard Dorcas Brown, age 77, of Route 2, 3123 Georgetown-Verona Road, Lewisburg, died Friday afternoon at the Englewood Manor Nursing Home in Englewood after a short illness.
He was a native of Harrison Township in Preble County and was the son of the Late Frank S. and Clara Bell Howell Brown.
He was a retired farmer, a member of the Eldorado Universalist Church in Eldorado, a 50 year member of the Monroe Grange, 2184 and a 50 year member of the Farm Bureau.
He is survived by his widow, Helen L. (Blackford) Brown of Route 2, Lewisburg; town sons, Richard F. Brown of Eldorado and Lieutenant Colonel Michael J. Brown of Niceville, Fla; and several grandchildren.
Memorial services for Mr. Brown were held Monday at the Eldorado Universalist Church in Eldorado, and the Rev. Raymond A. Michael officiated.
Burial was at the convenience of the family in Monroe Cemetery, Eldorado.
The family received friends at the Bussard Funeral Home, Eldorado, Sunday.
In lieu of the flowers the family requests donations be made to the Monroe Township or Lewisburg Emergency Units.
