Marquerite H. "Rita" Austin, 76, of Champaign, formerly of Maroa, died Tuesday (Feb. 14, 1995) in Carle Arbours, Savoy.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in Mittendorf-Calvert-Morgan Funeral Home, Champaign, with Rev. Randy Boltinghouse officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service. Burial will be in Maroa Cemetery, Maroa.
Mrs. Austin was born Feb. 26, 1918 in Petersburg, Va., the daughter, of Cary Winston and Nellie Essig Eanes. She was a member of Maroa Christian Church. She worked at Fort Lee, Va., where she met her husband. She married George Robert Austin on Jan. 10, 1942 in Virginia. He preceded her in death on March 14, 1976.
Surviving are her daughters, Barbara Cary Edwards of Champaign; Deborah Ann Speroni of Carterville; Rhonda Kay Fuller of Fort Myers, Fla.; brother, Cary Wintson Eanes Jr. of Colonial Heights, Va.; sisters, Helen Parrish of Colonial Heights, Va.; Frances Richardson of Herrin; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother, one sister.
