She was born in Jamestown, TN on February 15, 1929 to Rev. Barney C. Cooper Sr. and Irene (Brannon) Cooper.
Olen married William “Woody” Woodrow Whitehurst on January 7, 1956 in Hartford City. He precedes her in death on December 5, 2006.
She was a homemaker, wife and mother.
Olen will be sadly missed by her daughter, Linda S. (husband, Gerald) Sills of Hartford City; step-sons, James L. (wife, Sheila) Whitehurst of Florida; Terry W. (wife, Leanna K.) Whitehurst of Hartford City; 9 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Flossie E. (husband, Robert L.) Hinds of Parker City; Berniece “Gail” Crafts of Franklin; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son, Clayton Earl Whitehurst, brothers, Barney C. Cooper Jr., Chester E. Cooper and sister, Flonnie Baker.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2015 at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St. Hartford City. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Eaton, IN.
Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Friday, February 20, 2015 at Keplinger Funeral Home.
