Cynthia Ely Chambers, age 50, of 7125 Boldt Road, Valders, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004, at St. Luke’s Medical Center, Milwaukee. She was born May 11, 1954, in Manitowoc, daughter of Donald and Sharon Kornely Ely.
Cynthia graduated with the Class of 1972 at Manitowoc Lincoln High School later receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in social work from Colorado State University.
Cynthia married Kenneth Ray Chambers in Colorado.
Cynthia worked as a certified social worker in a variety of settings. She is most known as a court liaison social worker for Manitowoc County Human services. Cynthia touched many lives in Manitowoc and the surrounding counties.
Survivors include her children: Erin Perillo, Madison; Adam Chambers and Alex
Chambers, both of Valders; her mother, Sharon Ely, Manitowoc; her father: Donald Ely and his wife, Faye, Little Chute; a brother and sister-in-law: William and Cherie Ely, Manitowoc; a sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Scott Ziarnik, Manitowoc; a stepsister, Kim Schmitzer, Appleton; a stepbrother: Steve Miller, Appleton; and her maternal grandmother: Elaine Kornely, Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by husband, Kennneth (died in 1990); grandparents, Milton Kornely, Harold and Thelma Ely.
The family will greet relatives and friends at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, from 3 p.m. Friday until the time of the
memorial service at 5 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc. Officiating at the memorial service is Deacon Paul Kieffer.
Cremation will have taken place.
