Danville, Va, Jan 8 [1910] -- Dr H W Cole, for many years a prominent physician and druggist of Danville and thrice mayor of this city in the '70s, died at his home here today after a long illness. He was 79 years of age and a native of this county. Dr Cole was a surgeon in the Confederate army. He leaves two sons, Dr H W Cole, Jr, of the United States Navy and L D Cole of Oregon.
