Letta Rae Sanders, 68 years old, of Milan, Missouri passed away at her home Thursday morning, February 5, 2015.
On February 22, 1946 in Milan, Missouri, George Franklin and Anna Viola (Sinclair) Eddy gave birth to twin girls, Letta and Etta.
Letta married Lonnie Courtney and to this marriage three children where born. She is survived by her children, Joe Courtney and companion Gwen of Milan, Mike and wife Georgeanna Courtney of Excelsior Springs, MO, and Tammie and husband Bob Jones of Osage Beach, MO, four sisters, Betty J. Kennedy of Kirksville, MO, Mary Alberta Catt of Humphreys, MO, Mable E. Riddle of Humphreys, MO and Etta M. Mosele of Milan, five grandchildren, Ruthie Courtney, Emma Courtney, Becky Courtney, Joie Harris, and Jessica Courtney, five great grandchildren, Kenny Courtney, Remington Eastin, Kiara Courtney, Sable Courtney, and Hailey McCarty, several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, George Neal Eddy, Billy J. Eddy, David Lee Eddy and James Noel Eddy.
Letta spent her life caring for her family. She was a kind and giving person, often taking in family and friends, giving them loving support as well as a place to call home. Letta loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed trips to the country to watch the wildlife.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM., Monday, February 9, 2015 at the Schoene-Ruschmeier Funeral Home in Milan.
Burial will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery north of Milan.
