Obituary
George Alford passed away on February 18, 2015 in Mesquite, TX at the age of 86. He was born on September 21, 1928 to George and Teedy Alford, Sr. of Palmer, TX.
George grew up in a musically talented family and loved to play the guitar and sing gospels songs. He was known for never saying a bad word about anyone, didn’t smoke or curse and was the sweetest man God ever put on earth, when God made him he definitely threw away the mold. Known as “Pepaw” and “Papaw” by the kids, he loved spending quality time with them and will be missed dearly.
Preceding him in death are his parents George and Teedy Alford, son George W. Alford, III, and wife of 45 years, Eva.
The family will receive visitors 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday, February 20, 2015 at Roselawn Funeral Home, Seagoville, TX. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 21, 2015 with interment to follow in the Garden of Scriptures, Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Seagoville, TX.
